The Path to Becoming a Lawyer
Originally from Cuba, Jose Novo made Miami, Florida, his home when he migrated to the United States in 2005. He embarked on his legal journey at Florida International University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs.
However, that was the beginning for Jose; he pursued education at the prestigious University of Miami School of Law. Throughout law school, he actively participated in student organizations, showcasing his passion for matters larger than himself. In May 2023, he proudly received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree upon graduation.
After that achievement, Jose reached another milestone by successfully passing the Florida bar exam, which granted him membership within the esteemed Florida Bar Association. His unwavering dedication to academics and commitment to excelling in his chosen profession is evident as he engages in discussions and takes proactive approaches when faced with legal challenges.
A Fresh Outlook
Jose’s addition to our firm brings his energy and a strong emphasis on putting clients first, elevating our team’s dedication and customer service. He has an impressive upbringing and background, having held roles in his family’s prominent business that caters to the Miami community. This experience grants him an understanding of the needs and challenges faced by our business clients. Jose’s journey from law school graduate to Associate Attorney was filled with anticipation and nerves as he entered the field.
However, after joining our team and receiving mentorship from Ray, Jose has experienced growth in his writing and research skills, which were strong to begin with. He has established himself as a force in litigation. His participation in depositions and hearings has been pivotal in exposing him to the legal world and enhancing his courtroom presence. With his experience in business and law, Jose has become an asset to our team, particularly when it comes to addressing the legal requirements of our business clients with empathy.
